Luminous Threads – Shruti Banerji

Shruti’s series titled “Silent Companions” reflects a profound exploration of the subtle relationships between inanimate objects and their emotional resonance. Through carefully composed still life pieces, she imbues everyday objects with personal significance, offering a glimpse into her deep connection to the world surrounding her. In this series, Shruti captures the essence of quiet reflection and the transformative power of light. The soft glow of the lamp serves as a metaphor for new beginnings, positive energy, and inner resilience—representing the light that emerges after darkness. Similarly, the chair, a central motif in her work, symbolizes themes of power and authority, embodying the strength one holds both internally and in their external presence. For Shruti, each object transcends its physical form; it becomes a reflection of the self.
