Drifting between presence and absence, the figure dissolves into the clouds—weightless, untethered. Is she lost, fading into the sky, or found, surrendering to something greater? The hands reach upward, caught between grounding and escape, uncertainty and freedom. ‘Lost or Found’ is not a question—it’s a state of being.

About Aarti Nichlani
Aarti Nichlani is an award-winning copywriter and creative director, who’s worked at some of the world’s best advertising agencies in Bombay, Singapore, and Bangalore. Beyond advertising, she was once a professional contemporary dancer, and co-owner and designer of a quirky fashion label called Taxxi – a favourite with Bombay’s celebrities.
In 2018, she reconnected with her love for art, and was mentored by avant-garde Singapore artist, Chankerk Teh, and more recently by Bangalore-based artist M. G. Doddamani. She loves the meditative quality of the practice, while also learning to let go of the idea of perfection. Avyaana 2025 is her first show as an artist with a collection of oil paintings called ‘Born to be wild’ which celebrates our inextricable link with the natural world.
