Magic – Evanka Thimmaiah

Evanka’s series ” Shades of Us” is a tribute to sisterhood, memory, and the garden that shaped her. Growing up in Kodagu, her sister and she found their identities in the quiet lessons of nature. This painting series reflects their journey narrated with flowers, fruits, and birds. The flowers depict the fleeting yet powerful essence of growth, resilience, and delicate strength, while the fruits denote the sweetness and tang of experience, the lessons in patience, and the richness of shared moments. The call of adventure, the pull of home, and the silent understanding between those who take flight yet remain connected is how we relate with birds. Like nature, they evolve — sometimes mirroring each other, sometimes standing apart, but always rooted in the same soil.
