About Neelam Malhotra

Neelam Malhotra studied at Delhi University, where she completed her Master’s degree in Humanities, followed by a Bachelor’s degree in Education. She taught in Delhi and abroad for several years and devoted herself for over two decades with an NGO to teach and mentor young underprivileged students. After retiring, Neelam returned to the practice of art and graduated in Visual Arts in 2023 from Kannada University. Along with arts, she enjoys writing stories and poems and has published and illustrated a book of her memoirs and remembrances. She has participated in a number of group-shows namely Oorja Expressions (2019, 2020), Avyanna ( 2024, 2025 ) and many more. One of her works, ‘Red Carpet’, has been selected by the Karnataka Lalita Kala Academy to be showcased in their Annual Exhibition in 2026.
